Unfortunately, there has been a near drought of good Christian scholars in The Episcopal Church USA the past few decades. I am happy, therefore, to introduces you to Matthew D. Larsen’s NT Studies Blog as a hopeful sign that perhaps that is changing. Matt is an Aspirant to Holy Orders in the Diocese of Dallas, and according to the blog, “is Interested in Narrative, Rhetorical, and Historical Approaches to New Testament Studies.” Also of note, our young aspirant had a paper recently accepted for the 2010 meeting of the SBL.
